Leading Internal Audit in a strategic industry as the one of telecommunications it’s the last challenge of a career mostly dedicated to an inspiring profession.

Massimiliano has spent most of his time in international environments, taking challenging positions in diverse companies by setting up the new foundations of Group Internal Audit departments through leading transformational programs.

Before being Chief Audit Executive of TIM S.p.A, Massimiliano had similar role in Ferrero International (based in Luxembourg), he was Senior Manager Global Audit in Africa and Middle East for Heineken (based in the Netherlands), and other Internal Audit experiences in different sectors.

Actively involved in supporting the evolution of the profession as Board Member and Executive Committee member of the Italian Chapter of the Institute of Internal Audit (AIIA) and, with a broader view, as Vice Chairman of European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Audit (ECIIA).

Massimiliano graduated from the University of Economics in Italy and started working in Artur Andersen (Audit Division) right after graduation.

Happily married and with a son, in free time he enjoys playing sports in the nature.
